When I first looked at it I thought wow a thumb print, how cool is that? Mostly because I am working on something like that. This is so much more than that once you enlarge it though.

Thank you , I used the liquefy filter on the background stock mentioned in the comments, using different functions, I used a blending mode and I think also used the chrome filter on the ripples - all of it more trial and error than plan and I doubt if I could get it the same effect again but I hope this helps.

I have separated out the manipulated background from the pre-.jpg .psd and was going to put it into scraps for you,
but at the moment the layered/transparent .psd is 14MB - not sure if it can be made smaller - if I turn it into a .jpg it loses transparency.
I will try some more.
